A COMMUNITY APPROACH at Naropa
to being a Suicide-Safer Community
FREE SafeTALK Training Offered @ Naropa!
March 7, 10am -1pm
In the Student Center
(located downstairs in the Administrative building on the Arapahoe campus)
SafeTALK is a 3hour gatekeeper training that prepares anyone to recognize someone who may be suicidal and to connect the person to suicide intervention resources at Naropa and/or in the larger community.
From the Spring 2009 Training, of the 32 SafeTALKers we’ve trained at Naropa:
· 100% stated that others will benefit from this training and
· 100% of the participants at Naropa felt well or mostly prepared to talk directly and openly to a person about their thoughts of suicide if the need arouse.
