Foundations for Success on a Naropa Journey

Hello Snow Lion,

We’re making one last call for COR105 Foundations. This year we plan to explore the connection between our physical well-being and academic success through an activity, maybe rock climbing. We will discuss and invite you all to share with each other strategies, skills and tools that will help you in the classroom. We’ll also look at foundational life skills like time management, budgeting, and interpersonal/intrapersonal communication skills. Please join us. The course is one credit hour and meets bi-weekly ending before the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Foundations for Success on a Naropa Journey supports student learning inside and outside the classroom setting. Foundations offers holistic support for students addressing academic, personal, intrapersonal, and community topics. In all, the course provides students opportunities and skills to enhance their Naropa experience and transition into college life.
Foundations connects students to resources at Naropa and in the Boulder community. The course integrates conversations around life skills, healthy choices, and contemplative practice with the students’ college experience. Through some didactic instruction and highly experiential sessions the course builds upon shared learning experiences and peer instruction to provide students with both tools and questions to accompany them on their Naropa journey.
