Bali: Children’s Art & Storytelling
Allen Ginsberg Library
Wednesday, February 23rd 6-7pm
While studying abroad during the Fall of 2010 in Indonesia, Naropa undergraduate Jack Tardie decided to combine her love and passion for working with children, art, and books to construct a project that would bring all the proceeds back to the community. She and the young female artists of the Seniwati Gallery in Ubud, Bali created a book expressing their culture through the mediums of visual art and storytelling.
There was so much she learned through this experience - how to construct a non-profit project, the process of publishing a book, the differences between art education and "seeing" in the East and West, and so much more. The library is proud to help her share with her own community here in Boulder and at Naropa.
Please join us on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in the Allen Ginsberg Library from 6pm-7pm for a presentation of the book. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Copies of the book will be available for viewing and purchase ($10 each). All proceeds of book sales go to the Seniwati Sanggar Muda School.

Questions? Email us at nalandastuevents@naropa.edu
This event is proudly brought to you by SLP
Wednesday, February 9
Do you have a partner that could benefit from a little support?
Does your girlfriend find it tricky to translate your "Naropa
language" at times?
Or are you so processed out after a day at Naropa that you don't feel
like getting emotionally or physically intimate with your boyfriend
when you get home?
Perhaps you want to keep on processing but your partner is feeling
lost or overwhelmed by the way you are "showing up" in the
relationship.
Or maybe they'd just like to have a group to relate to.
If any of this "resonates," this group just might be for your partner!
Call or email one of the co-leaders to schedule a 30-minute screening
appointment.
First available times are between 6pm and 9pm on either Wednesday,
February 9th or Thursday, February 10th.
