The Red Cross has opened a shelter at the YMCA at 2850 Mapleton Ave. in Boulder. People should bring identification, medications and items to occupy small children. Food will be provided. Small pets are allowed at the shelter. The pets will be housed away from people, but pet owners can visit their pets.

Livestock is being accepted for temporary shelter at the Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Road.
An online assistance clearinghouse has been established at sparkplace.com. Users have made posts offering help related to housing, food and animals.
Mail delivery: Evacuated residents who live in the 80302 ZIP code can pick up their mail at the main Boulder Post Office, 1905 15th St.Evacuees who live in the 80455 ZIP code area can pick up their mail at the Jamestown Post Office, at 133 Main St.
Computer access: The eight-computer "Learning Lab" at the Boulder Public Library main branch, 1001 Arapahoe Ave., will be reserved for people affected by the fire. Ask at the information desk to be admitted to the lab, which will be staffed by a librarian.

EVACUATIONS AND CLOSURES
Neighborhood evacuations: These residential areas have been ordered to evacuate: All homes within a three-mile radius of Gold Hill; the Mountain Meadows subdivision; the Sierra Antigua subdivision; Mountain Meadows and Mountain Pines; Pine Brook; Boulder Heights; Whispering Pines; mile marker 3 of Sugarloaf Road to Boulder Canyon; and Lickskillet west to Sawmill.
Evacuation perimeters: The communities east of the Peak to Peak Highway, west of U.S. 36, north of Boulder Canyon, south of Lefthand Canyon Road and along Sugarloaf Road.
School closures: Gold Hill and Jamestown elementary schools are closed Wednesday. Nederland Elementary and Nederland Middle/Senior High schools are open. All Nederland school bus routes will run as normal, except in areas evacuated by firefighters. For updates, visit bvsd.org.
Boulder Rez closure: Boulder Reservoir was closed to the public starting Tuesday night so the city property can be used to shelter firefighters working the wildfire. Emergency crews will be allowed to camp at the reservoir for the duration of the fire, according to city officials.
Road closures: Fourmile Canyon Drive, Sugarloaf Road, Lefthand Canyon Drive from Lee Hill Road to Lick Skillet.
